Since his birth, Kahli has always been terrified of his living tail. This fear was
so strong, that he named it Amanojaku, which is a name given to demons which
instigate others into wickedness. Kahli constantly stutters and fidgets, and his
eyes are always flickering back to Ama to ensure that the creature won't try to
kill him. Kahli is constantly seeking company of someone and will stick around
for long periods of time simply to not be alone. He will stand by a viscet who
hates him if he must and will stay there unless he is chased off by the other.
When Kahli spends too much time working or stays up too late, he reaches
exhaustion, and this is when the strange things happen. He suddenly becomes
alert and ominous, and his stuttering vanishes in an instant. He speaks very little
and mostly makes grunts or growls, but to those who know Kahli when he has
energy, this sudden change is very clear. He will return to his normal self once he
gets some sleep, but he never seems to remember his actions when he begins to
act so strangely.
Kahli's life of fear changed, however, when he met Lokheed. The short, fiery female became a source of comfort and safety for Kahli, and he fell head over heels for her almost immediately. He visited her often, spending full days and nights with her just to hear her voice and be beside her. As time passed, he gradually got up the courage to ask her to be his. Since then, the two have been inseperable. They live together in a quiet shack far from society, a place where Kahli can feel peace in the quiet. When Ama begins to act up and threaten him, Lokheed is quick to put the tail back in its place. Since he became mates with her, he has not reached a point of exhaustion where Ama can take hold. Lokheed is truly the best thing to have happened to Kahli.
