Alev was born and raised on Runestone Island, her nurturing nature shining through at a young age and setting her apart from the rest. She was chosen to be the care taker of the young adopted princess when the small dark viscling first arrived on the island. She has since been inseparable from her, stepping in to take up the roll of Arelis's mother and teaching her the ways of the island and royalty with compassion and gentleness. She only wanted to see Arelis succeed in life, and so when the king announced that the adopted princess would not have a chance to claim the throne, Alev only felt heart break and frustration. She supported Arelis through it all, even going as far to attempt to confront the king and his council on the matter, though her feat ended with little change. Arelis's ambition soared at her rejection as she began scavenging for a way to prove herself, accidentally leaving Alev behind. Still, Alev supported her in her endeavors, helping her organize information and even helping her in her quests from time to time. When Arelis was suddenly granted the opportunity to compete against her brothers, Alev felt torn - overjoyed for the restored opportunity, but suspicious of what had drawn it out. When Arelis's room was attacked that evening and the princess went missing, Alev was broken and devastated. It was as though she had lost her own flesh and blood. She immediately set to work, picking up where Arelis had left off in discovering something dark and twisted within the islands core, following a path which would place her in harms way far more often than she could have ever anticipated as the princess, still alive, scavenged the world to return with proof and reinforcements.
